The commission will result in a grade 5-6 work and will be exclusively available to members of the consortium for the 2024-25 season. The projected world premiere will be given by the Youth Performing Arts School Symphonic Band in the spring of 2024.

Proposed Instrumentation

4 Flutes (Flute 1 doubles with Piccolo), 2 Oboes, 2 Bassoons, 4 Clarinets (Bb), Bass Clarinet (Bb), 2 Alto Saxophones, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Harp, Piano, 3 Trumpets(Bb), 4 French Horns, 3 Trombones, Euphonium, Tuba, Percussion (4 players) - Player1: Vibraphone, Player 2: Marimba, Player 3: Crotales and Suspended Cymbal, Player4: Toms (3 – High, Medium, and Low).
